Houzz did a survey that was recently published in Elle Magazine and had some startling information revealed about homeowners who are their own interior decorators.
Did you know that in a recent Houzz survey, it was found that 98% of the Do-it-Yourself Homeowners are not happy with the interior design or style of their home. Isn’t that sad and so staggering… could it be true that really only 2% of the homeowners like where they live and breathe, and sleep and spend time with their cherished family.
Many homes in New Orleans are still sporting their 2006 “Post Katrina Design Decisions”. Ten years ago after our great flood, when in early 2006, many of us were forced to redesign our home, the most popular colors were taupe, black, buttery yellow and sage green. Another hugely popular color palette after Katrina was copper, orange, chocolate and turquoise! If you are still there, then it is time to consider some updates.
